Manon - Quebec

Plume, who will be 12 weeks old tomorrow, December 15th, 2024, is already house-trained, except for a few occasional accidents. She barks to let me know she has done her business, hoping to earn a treat. She knows plenty of words, fetches her toys, and brings them back. She even recognizes the names of certain toys and retrieves them accordingly.

Today, she completed a puzzle game for mental stimulation in just 5 minutes—impressive! She also gave me her paw after 3 or 4 attempts on my part. Yesterday, I gave her the command to stay in her basket (her bed) instead of coming to the door when someone arrived, and the person said, “Look, she listens to you and doesn’t come!”

This adorable little face truly does her Toy Poodle breed proud, living up to their reputation as the most intelligent breed in the world! Plume amazes me every day and makes me so happy 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡.

Choosing the right breeder is so important for having a healthy and loving dog. My breeder, Maxime Martin, is someone I would recommend without hesitation to anyone who loves, as Maxime Martin does, these little bundles of love ❤❤❤❤❤.

Adoption Process at Maxanimo

    1. First Contact & Family Discovery

    Our first step is a conversation by FaceTime, video chat, e-mail or phone call to get to know you and your family:
    • Who is part of your family (adults, children, other pets)?
    • What are your rhythms and habits (more sporty/active or calm/sedentary)?
    • What are you looking for in your future companion (adult size, temperament, color)?

    Based on your answers, we identify the puppy or puppies most compatible with your home and lifestyle.

  • 2. Reservation with Deposit

    Once you’ve chosen your ideal puppy, you can reserve them with a deposit.
    • This deposit is non-refundable, but transferable once to another litter within 12 months.
    • Upon receiving your Interac e-transfer, you’ll receive a copy of the “deposit” section of the sales contract.

  • 3. Weekly Updates

    3. Weekly Updates

    Every week, you’ll receive photos, videos, and temperament updates so you can follow your puppy’s development.

  • 4. Vaccination & Veterinary Care

    4. Vaccination & Veterinary Care

    Before leaving, each puppy receives deworming treatments, their first vaccination, a full veterinary exam, and an Identrac microchip.
    After vaccination, you’ll receive new photos, and based on the veterinarian’s recommendations, we’ll schedule your adoption date together.

  • 5. Adoption Day

    The big day has arrived! You’ll pay the remaining balance (Interac preferred; cards +3%. Cash is also accepted).

    Your puppy goes home with:
    • Up-to-date vaccinations and deworming,
    • Health guarantee + certificate of conformity,
    • Identrac microchip,
    • Starter kit (value $100+),
    • Blanket with the mother’s scent,
    • Puppy pad,
    • Parents DNA-tested (Poodles) and CKC registered.

  • 6. Post-Adoption Follow-Up

    We check in within 48 to 72 hours after adoption and remain available for any questions. Our goal is to ensure a smooth and happy transition for both your puppy and your family.
